BFA U-10 makes their first international debut in Genting

On this day, our LaLiga U-10 players are set to make their departure to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to participate in the prestigious LaLiga Youth Tournament 2023 held in Genting Highlands, Malaysia. BFA U-10 coaches have selected 12 talented players to represent the academy and the country in the competition.
The players competed in their first international game on 16th September 2023 against Powerwind FC where they managed to secure their first round win with a score of 1-0 against the Taiwan based team. In the 2nd round of the tournament, BFA went up against Temenggung Academy Football Club where the players fought hard but managed to lose 1-2 with one of our youngest players, ZanYahu scoring the only goal in the game.
In round 3, BFA went up against a strong Malaysia side, Sentul FC where they lost 0-5 but with strong spirits the players still continued to play the remaining games with only one goal conceded in each respective games.
The international games become a good learning experience for our players to know the standards of football outside of Brunei and after participating in this tournament despite feeling heartbroken over the loss, the players have managed to gain lots of memories and experience, not just on the pitch but off the pitch as well.
