Five BFA Teams at the Jakarta Youth World Cup: A Journey Full of Lessons

Aug 2026

This time round BFA travelled with five teams, competed new journey with a huge pack ready to be at the Jakarta Youth World Cup. Jakarta became a special memories to us.

Across three tournament days in two different locations, the trip became an eye-opening experience filled with challenges, lessons and valuable moments both on and off the pitch. Competing against strong teams from across Asia, our players gave their relentless effort throughout the tournament, showing determination, teamwork and the courage to challenge themselves at a higher level.

The tournament also reminded our players that football is about more than simply playing with the ball. Understanding the game, reading situations, making decisions and having the right tactical awareness are all important parts of becoming a complete footballer. Every match brought something new to learn, giving our players the opportunity to experience different styles of play and gain a deeper understanding of the game.

And with all the hard work came plenty of moments to be proud of.

A big congratulations to the U10 team, who delivered an impressive performance to secure Runner-up in the Jakarta Youth World Cup. This achievement marks a proud milestone for the team and another valuable chapter in their football journey.

While the Runner-up achievement is certainly something to celebrate, the true value of the trip goes beyond the result. For every player who travelled to Jakarta, there was a lesson to take home — whether it was learning to adapt, understanding the importance of teamwork, handling challenges or simply gaining the confidence to compete against strong teams from across Asia.

Five teams travelled to Jakarta, but each player returned with something of their own, new experiences, new lessons, new memories and a stronger desire to keep improving.
